difficult to describe K'Gari with words... a place like a paradise lost, out of time... read the aboriginal legend of Princess K'gari and feel the spirit of the island... explore the turquoise waters of Platypus Beach, observe the thousands of shy blue crabs hidding themselves in the white sand, explore in 4wd adventure the interior tracks and admire the variety of the vegetation, count the shooting stars from the treetop balcony, plunge in the bubbles of Champagne pool... Magic K'gari, I will come back to visit you!

We have now returned from Fraser and thoroughly enjoyed or stay. Thanks for K’gari. It was a wonderful place to stay. We really liked the open feeling. Also the cooking facility. The design of the space and utensils gathered were clearly by someone who cooks – all very functional. I couldn’t have been better. There are many larger and fancier places in Orchid Beach but you have really captured the sprit of the place best.

With a little delay but from the bottom of our hearts we wish to thank you for providing such a wonderful space to nourish our 'body and soul'. Your house is full of inspirations. Besides the fact that it is not a standard ( boring and deadening the senses) rental home we loved the well equipped kitchen. Only someone who likes to cook would have a kitchen like this !!! Are you the cook ? We will definitely spread the word and hope to come back to your wonderful oasis of peace in this rushed world.

Have just returned from Fraser this afternoon. Had beer battered whiting for dinner tonight, that my husband Peter caught last night! Delicious!!! We had a wonderful stay and I loved the house!! The time went SOOO quickly and we all agreed that we could have stayed longer. My 16 year old son read his first novel whilst at K'gari so there must be something really special about the place! You are very lucky to own such an amazing house and we are lucky that we were fortunate enough to share it. Thank you and I look forward to booking K'gari with you again sometime soon.

We had a fantastic 10 days at Kgari. Charlie (the Goanna) made a visit every day as did a dingo pup (the kids named it Ernie The Dingo). We saw Loggerhead turtles on the beach at night laying their eggs. We travelled all over the Island and saw many new places…had an absolute ball. The kids were that tired at night they had tea and wanted to go straight to bed just to start fresh the next day. The house was the perfect set up, just right with every thing you need to enjoy the rest or as we did, pack adventure into every day with something new, to return at night for a hot shower, a well cooked meal or BBQ and a good sleep ready to start again the next day. Thank you for sharing this magical place with me and my family.

It was magic. You have a lovely spot in the treetops. We both read the ‘history of Fraser Island’ while we were ensconced on the couch which was fascinating. I found the whole place quite otherworldly and perfect for rejuvenating the tired brain and bod. PW found the great fishing spot at the end of the beach and although we threw 9 fish back on the first afternoon, we kept a couple the next night and had an aromatic Thai curry made from scratch with fresh spices and ingredients from our friend’s organic vege garden in Noosa – it felt very decadent indeed. It’s a great kitchen to cook in.

We had a wonderful time at your house on Fraser. You were certainly right that four days is not enough time there... we would love to have stayed a month. We found the house to be very relaxing and we all managed to 'zone out' and sink into the Fraser feel very quickly. I was extremely happy to find the house was just as your webpage described. Very unique and beautifully designed. Two of our group live most of the year in Vanuatu (they have a resort, Poppys on the Lagoon www.poppys.com.vu) and they had a FABULOUS time and have been raving about the island, the fishing and the house ever since. They pass on the message that if you ever want to visit Vanuatu and stay in their resort, they would be very happy to look after you. World heritage listed Fraser Island – expectations fulfilled. Whales every day, birds at every turn. Sandy Cape with stormy backdrop. Wangal Sandblow – blows me away. Wathumba inlet, sea and swamp. Champagne Pools to Waddy Point in the company of beaching whales and sea eagles. And the view to start and end the day. What more could we ask for!
