K'Gari's open plan design, high ceilings and expansive deck areas create a spacious atmosphere in a compact space. The views are panoramic. You can actually see the curve of the earth on the horizon.
The house is fully screened. All doors are covered by overhanging eves so they can be left open if it's raining. All windows are carefully positioned to maximise cool breezes during summer. An outside walkway connects front and back deck areas. (great for kids to run around safely and also a handy area for drying clothes and towels). The back of the house has a small bathroom, a separate toilet and laundry looking out onto virgin bush. Kgari's totally private position just above the treetops not only provides incredible views but also is sheltered from onshore winds.
A huge variety of birds can be seen from the verandah particularly at dawn and dusk and goannas are often seen climbing trees and hunting around the house. Occasionally dingoes and wallabies can be spotted in the surrounding bushland.
